Stacey McCreery is a writer, a speaker, the founder and CEO of ROI Search Group, and an adjunct instructor for Indiana University (IU). After spending 25 years in several corporate roles, and as a former hiring manager and leader, Stacey founded ROI Search Group to offer her vision of what placement could be for organizations. Her proprietary recruiting methods were, in part, garnered from her keen ability to step into the shoes of hiring managers. Her capability to nurture relationships that cull distinct information leads her to ideal candidates for each client.
Stacey established ROI Search Group following her extensive tenure as Executive Director of Indiana University Health. She understands the need to find exceptional talent, and as a former hiring manager, she knows what it takes to find good people. The scope of her work was broad and included the mergers and acquisitions of several hospitals, system-wide training, as well as oversight of integrations of several hospitals and physician groups throughout her tenure. Her previous engagements include financial responsibility for three Indianapolis, Indiana hospitals: Methodist Hospital, University Hospital, and Riley’s Hospital for Children, and systemwide responsibility for M&A and integration of numerous hospitals and physician practices with the largest healthcare system in the state of Indiana. Prior to Indiana University Health, Stacey served as Director for the Family Social Services Administration (FSSA) at the State of Indiana, where she was responsible for a large team supporting one of the largest agencies for the State of Indiana, and served as Director for the MENTOR Network, where she became very passionate about children and adults with disabilities.
In January 2018, her passion for Indiana continued, and she was honored to be appointed to and is currently a committee member of the Commissioner’s Tax Advisory Council for the Indiana Department of Revenue.
Dedicated to the profession of healthcare, she is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is a member of Indiana Health Executive Network (IHEN). She is also a former board member for Easterseals Crossroads and served on their development committee. She also served as Vice Chair of their Executive Search committee.
Stacey was a member of the finance council for Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church from 2017 through 2022 and an active committee member of the IU Alumni Association Central Indiana chapter. She is also a supporter of Anna’s Celebration of Life Foundation, which provides life-enhancing gifts to Indiana children with special needs.
In 2021, to meet the needs of clients and better serve organizations Stacey developed a state-accredited 40-hour Next Level Leadership and Team Member Training program implementing best practices. The ROISG Next Level Leadership Training program is designed for leaders and team members who hold positions in priority sectors. Additionally, Stacey is an Adjunct Instructor for the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health at Indiana University as well as the Executive Education program in the O’Neill School at Indiana University (IU).
Stacey has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and her Master’s in business from Keller Graduate School. She lives in Fishers, Indiana with her husband, son, and their two dogs. When not in the office she takes pleasure in spending time with her family and friends. Stacey and her husband love traveling to new places, biking, and supporting their son who is very active in football and volleyball. They are big fans of the Indianapolis Colts and Hoosiers, of course.
